Welcome! This is the first in the series on Matthew 11:28-30.
Rest. Refresh. I am fairly certain I am not alone in wanting to discover how to experience this in my life on a consistent basis. When I started this journey I truly did not even know what I was really looking for, nevermind how to find it. But God is very kind, and has been leading me to experience more of Himself, and in that lies rest and refreshing.
And it is a journey… stillness and quiet are foreign to most of us, and it has taken me some time to become comfortable. We are so used to running and doing ten things at once, even our prayer lives have become frenetic. Prayer is a conversation, and listening is something that for many of us, has not been taught, and therefore not practiced. But it is vital that we learn to listen to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit and learn to lean into His presence and just “be”.
I will say that there has definitely been a need for discernment on this journey because not everything that labels itself 'Biblical' or 'Christian' is that!
